Box of Winter

She picked a box of winter
I know that's what she did

The snowclouds snatched from chilling skies
It makes a bed so soft...
The stars picked off and each one placed
It sparkles in the light...
Ice, clear and cold from the moonlit pond
It seals the box up tight...
The wailing wind she wrapped and tied
It locks and holds the lid...

Inside a heart is nestled safe
Held and sheltered by the cold
She picked a box of winter
